#FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING WIN7 WINDOWS#
I felt that there should be no other FF windows open. When FF wanted to reload the open pages at the time of the hang, they were not allowed to open. Since FF hung the last time, the system was rebooted. Restarted FF to file a bug report on last hang. System was booted 34 minutes befor this hang. As a diagnostic step I downloaded and installed Firefox then used Revo. The trouble is I don't even have Firefox installed. Intermittently (every 2-3 days) when I start up my computer I constantly get a pop up stating that Firefox has stopped responding. Hi guys, I wasn't sure where to post this. However, it became washed outĪ problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. I did go to the Internet and load the homepage.

I am not aware of a process to reproduce it. It doesn't yet take into account dynamically modified forms, though, and I haven't got the resources for working on it short-term.User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1 WOW64 rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 If that doesn't work out, something along the WIP patch's line should also fix this issue. The proper fix would go along bug 478107's route. > a single walk down the tree and building the XPath expressions piecemeal > It seems like we can probably make that form management more efficient by doing BugZilla fields all have an ID and are thus unaffected by the issue (if they were saved by default, which they aren't for privacy reasons). Note that this only affects forms with more than 100 fields _missing an ID_.

It just seemed large enough to cover all small to medium sized forms while being significantly smaller than all of the test cases we've seen so far. I tried looking for tor.exe and firefox.exe in the process manager but there where not running.
#FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING WIN7 HOW TO#
Here are some steps for how to fix Mozilla Firefox not responding.

To open a new window, you must first close the existing Tor Browser process, or restart your system. Mozilla Firefox hangs and fails to respond at certain times. > why 100? did you use your testcase to determine this is a reasonable number? When starting the Tor Browser I get a message stating: Tor Browser is already running, but is not responding. The following are my timings (P3 933 MHz):ġ000 checkboxes with IDs (per attachment):ġ sec (load) + 5 sec (idle) + 1 sec 24-27% CPU spike (IMPACT NEGLIGIBLE)ĥ00 checkboxes at NCIX website (per attachment):ġ0 sec (load) + 5 sec (idle) + 24 sec 99 % CPU spike (HUGE PERFORMANCE IMPACT)ģ142 x 1.5 (4713 est.) checkboxes at :Ģ1 sec (load) + 1 sec (idle) + 4 sec 99 % CPU spike (IMPACT NEGLIGIBLE)Ħ958 x 1.3 (9045 est.) checkboxes at :Ĥ3 sec (load) + 1 sec (idle) + 230 sec 99 % CPU spike (HUGE PERFORMANCE IMPACT)Īs you can see, number of checkboxes alone is a deceptive measure thus, I believe this is a significant performance regression. The original test cases (1000 checkboxes), attached to this bug, are not good examples of how bad this bug really is. Hundreds is enough depending on the web page. Don't know if hundreds is enough to be a performance concern, so maybe this
